HART took over the tool section at Walmart and has been expanding ever since. On the lawn and garden side of the business, the HART 40V brushless 26-inch hedge trimmer currently sits at the top of the lineup. Is it worth adding to your landscaping tool arsenal? By leveraging its 40V battery system and a brushless motor, HART handles trimming duties more quickly than basic cordless hedge trimmers. Its 3000 SPM speed and 1-inch cutting capacity are mid-range in the overall landscape. However, its 26-inch knives offer a longer reach, making it a more efficient tool to use on larger hedges.

As you would expect, the extra length means this model isn’t as light as other models. The bare tool is 9.4 pounds and a 2.5Ah hour battery makes the working weight north of 11 pounds. We’ve certainly used heavier models, though.

The good news is that HART has quite a few hedge trimmers to choose from. If the highest performance is what you’re after, this is the model for you. If you prefer something on the lightweight side, HART has smaller options, including several models on its 20V platform that are a better fit.

HART packs the HLHT021VNM with a 2.5Ah battery and charger for $207.99 at Walmart. At the time we’re writing, there’s no bare tool option. HART backs the tool with a 5-year warranty.
